Centrino 2 Mobile Platform Was Postpone To July

Intel on Wednesday said a problem with the integrated graphics controller that assists a computer's microprocessor in rendering video and other graphics prompted the chipmaker to delay the release of the Centrino 2 mobile platform until mid-July. Intel on Tuesday said the new platform would ship July 14 instead of June, which is when it was expected. Centrino 2 includes Intel's 45-nanometer Core 2 processor, formerly code-named Penryn. The flawed integrated graphics controller was in the GM45/GM47 chipsets available with the new platform. The IGC's purpose is to off-load graphics rendering from the CPU and is typically used in computers that don't need the higher level of power delivered through separate graphics cards from companies like Nvidia or Advanced Micro Devices' ATI unit.

Intel declined to provide details on the problem, which was discovered during validation and testing of the chipsets. The company, however, said it was fixed. "It won't be a problem in the future," an Intel spokeswoman told InformationWeek. "We've resolved it." Graphics technology within chipsets has grown in importance as personal computers are increasingly used to view and edit video and photos. On the higher end of computing, graphics rendering is a differentiator for chipmakers in PC gaming. Nvidia and AMD's ATI unit are major suppliers of discrete graphics cards for computers, and Intel is boosting its presence in the market through integrated graphics in chipsets, which are also offered by AMD. The delay as an isolated incident is not expected to have much impact on Intel or its customers, Illuminata analyst Gordon Haff said.

Clairvoyance

Clairvoyance is the purported ability to gain information about an object, location or physical event through means other than the known human senses, a form of extra-sensory perception. A person said to have the ability of clairvoyance is referred to as a clairvoyant ("one who sees clear").

Claims for the existence of paranormal psychic abilities such as clairvoyance are highly controversial. Parapsychology explores this possibility, but no evidence for such paranormal phenomena is accepted by the scientific community.

Within parapsychology, clairvoyance is used exclusively to refer to the transfer of information that is both contemporary to, and hidden from, the clairvoyant. It is differentiated from telepathy in that the information is said to be gained directly from an external physical source, rather than being transferred from the mind of one individual to another.

Outside of parapsychology, clairvoyance is often used to refer to other forms of Anomalous cognition, most commonly the perception of events that have occurred in the past, or which will occur in the future (known as retro cognition and precognition respectively), or to refer to communications with the dead.

Clairvoyance is related to remote viewing, although the term "remote viewing" itself is not as widely applicable to clairvoyance because it refers to a specific controlled process.

Dimensions of Business Technology Management

BTM addresses four critical dimensions that serve as integrated building blocks supporting improvements across the enterprise:Process: The first dimension for institutionalizing BTM principles is set of robust, flexible and repeatable processes. Simply defining these processes is insufficient though, to effectively implement BTM requires that processes be defined and consistently optimized evaluated to ensure:
  • General quality of business practice—Doing the right things
  • Efficiency—Doing things quickly with little redundancy
  • Effectiveness—Doing things well.

Organization: Management processes are more likely to succeed when they are supported by appropriate organizational structures based on clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, and decision rights. Such organizational structures generally include:
  • Participative bodies—involving senior-level business and technology participants on a part-time but routine basis
  • Centralized bodies—requiring specialized, dedicated technology staff
  • Needs-based bodies—involving rotational assignments, created to deal with particular efforts
The right set of structures will vary according to an enterprise’s value discipline, its primary organizational structure, and its relative BTM maturity. Centralized bodies, such as an Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO), tend to require specialized, dedicated staff. Participative bodies, such as a Business Technology Investment Board, are ongoing, part-time assignments for their participants— the key stakeholders.Information: Valid, timely information is a prerequisite for effective decision-making. This information must be delivered in a way that is comprehensible to non-specialists and, at the same time, actionable in terms of informing choices that matter. Useful information does not just happen. It depends on the interaction of two related elements: data and metrics. Data must be available, relevant, accurate, and reliable. Metrics distill raw data into useful information.Technology: Effective technology can help connect all the other dimensions. Appropriate technology helps make processes easier to execute, facilitates timely information sharing, and enables consistent coordination between elements and layers of the organization. It does this through the following:

Many people think that placing furniture against the wall will make a small room appear larger. This is false. Pull the furniture away from the wall to create depth and the appearance for more room. Whether you try your furniture placed in the middle of the room, at and angle, or simple pull it about 6 inches away from the wall, you will be amazed at the difference this can make.

Matching Fabrics Throughout
If you want a custom interior designer look in your apartment, one of the worst decorating mistakes you can make is to have all matching fabric. Specifically in a bedroom, people will often match the bedspread to the drapes to the pillows. This much of any one kind of fabric can be dull, boring, and overwhelming all at once. Covering all Wall Space
Many people make the simple decorating mistake in their home of covering every bit of open wall space in the home. This decorating mistake can be as simple as having furniture lining the walls or even pictures and artwork covering every bit of upper wall space.

All Matching Furniture
Another decorating mistake is when people buy all matching furniture. Just because you can find matching coffee tables, side tables, and sofa tables in package does not mean you have to buy it. In fact, there should be a law against matching sets of furniture. One of the quickest ways to make your home look like a hotel is to use all matching furniture. Try remaking matching furniture by painting it, swapping it with family and friends, or simply selling it to have money to buy some new furniture to break up the hotel look.

Beige Nightmare
There is no need to have a million shade of beige in a room with no color! The overuse of beige screams hotel room! Try leaving the walls beige and adding a colorful slip cover to the couch.
