How to Make Hooded Bath Towels for Kids


Hooded bath towels are one of the most convenient baby products and a hooded bath towel has a hood stitched at the upper side of the towel which is helpful in drying the head portion. The hooded towels are available in wide range of sizes, designs, colors and patterns and are available in almost every baby stores. A hooded towel will cover the kids from head to toe and keep them warm.

Hooded towel is easy to make. The following process gives an idea on how to make the hooded towels. The things required are large bath towel, smaller hand towel, scissors, large straight pins, sewing machine and tape.

  • First place the large bath towel on a large table, then lay the hand towel adjacent to the longer side of the bath towel.
  • Align the hand towel properly so that it is coming to the center of the hand towel edge and secure the edges with straight pins so that they are fixed and they don't move while stitching.
  • Start sewing, stitch the edges together and run two or three times at this portion for better securing.
  • Fold the both towels together in such a way that the inner side of the hooded towel can be seen and sew the top seams of the hand towel together to make a hood pattern.
  • With this making of the hooded towel for babies is completed and turn the hooded bath towel to the outside and check the design and the seams.

Hooded bath towel helps in attracting kids very much and it is fun for them.
