Marijuana is being famous around the world from the past thousands of years. Initially they used this hemp as a fabric. But unfortunately few people invented a dangerous drug out of it and fastened the use of drug in many illegal ways. Most of the major countries, like US are working hard to avoid the use of marijuana.
During the years between 1937 and 1947 the government of US spent about $220 millions for the war against the drugs. But during 1948 and 1963, the cost of the war for marijuana itself reached to around $1.5 billions. The price for eradicating the consumption is increasing day by day but the usage is not yet decreased.
Initially during the ancient days, marijuana has been used as fabric from 7000 to 8000 BC. Some of them used it as the food material, in 6000 BC in China. Some of the Chinese used it as the medication for treating the health problems in around 2727 BC. They also started using for both the food and fiber.
Later during 1200 to 800 BC, according to the Hindu Text, Arthavana Veda, in India, people started treating it as the sacred grass and also used it for the medical purposes. In 500 BC, Scythians introduced it in Northern Europe. During 500-600 BC, Jewish people also used as a property of euphoric.
During 900- 1000, the usage of marijuana has been spread throughout the Arab World, It is used till 1200s by them. In 1492, it entered into the major country, America. During 1000 to 1500 there is a tremendous growth in the marijuana usage and farming. French and British also started growing hemp in large quantities.
In 1798, Napoleon started prohibiting growing of hemp. From then the bans and wars are being continued till as of now for prohibiting the marijuana.
