Drug addiction when found in initial stages is easy to cure and people also feel easy to come out from them. So, the initial stages are usually at 6th and 8th grades of the children. For some children it might me much later.
There are many reasons behind an adult to get addicted to the drugs. But in cases of children, it is just the excitement and anxiety they show towards new things in life makes them attracted towards drugs. So, it is also easy to bring them away from those drugs even before they get addicted.

- Try to educate them about the facts of drugs and how they are harmful to them.
- Convince them by showing or telling the stories of drug affected people.

- In case if you are dealing with teens, be a little bit conscious because the way of dealing with them is different from the way you deal with children.
- Never show anger in your voice and command them to leave drugs
- Never, ever try to say no to drugs, especially to teens because they tend to do what is told not to.
- Show them how much you love and care them and give your complete support to them from getting out of the situation.
- Talk to them as a friend and ask them to stay away from friends who use drugs.
Its not easy to change a persons mind that easily but still there is nothing impossible if you try it.
