Know About HEPA Purifier

HEPA air cleaners improve indoor air quality and help in relieving the allergy and asthma symptoms. HEPA is the abbreviation for High Efficiency Particulate Arresting and is a type of air filter that is used in air cleaning and purification equipment including air cleaners, air purifiers and in high quality vacuum cleaners. Most HEPA air cleaners will filter particles in the airborne environment up to 0.3 microns in size, at an efficiency rating of 99.97%. It removes dust, smoke, pollen, animal dander, dust mite allergen etc. which are the causes of allergies. HEPA air purifiers also contain activated carbon based material which is to adsorb odors and chemicals.

There are three ways the HEPA filter stops particulates. First is that a particle runs into a fiber and sticks. Secondly, the particle gets in to the one diameter of a fiber of the HEPA filter ahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifnd while it tries to skid by the fiber it is gets stuck on the fiber. Third, as a very small, about 0.1 micron, particle moves in the gas flow and again happens to slide close to a fiber and gets caught. Some high quality HEPA air cleaners
have the added feature of a medical grade ultra violet light systems and they include ultraviolet light systems which kills viruses, bacteria and fungi. HEPA air cleaners approximately provide 2 to 4 air exchanges per hour in an average size bedroom.

HEPA air purifiers contains filters and fans which are to be cleaned periodically to keep the system in perfect working condition, size of the HEPA purifier depends on the space and location to be cleaned.
