Traffic Jam Leads To Many Problems

Recently I have seen in the New York Magazine, São Paulo has the world's worst traffic jam. The accumulated tailbacks have reached in average more than 120 miles (190 km) during rush hours. One of the major problems faced by the biggest cities is traffic problem. It may due to more population or bad construction of roads etc. Traffic congestion occurs when a volume of vehicles remained for long time. Because of traffic jams most of the people are unable to reach their destinations in time.

Because of this traffic jams it is difficult to reach emergency vehicles to their destination. Recently I have read in newspaper that U.S. has the world’s worst traffic congestion in Indiana. It has reached almost 120 miles during the rush hour and it has taken a whole day to clear the traffic congestion. The government has to take some steps to prevent the traffic jam.
