Using Nicotine Drug Test Kits to Quit Smoking

It is known that smoking is one of the most common bad habit that involves many serious health effects. Nicotine is the main active component of tobacco that causes damage to various important organs of the body including heart, brain, lungs, and so on. It is therefore necessary to quit smoking to maintain good health and prevent further damage to the body.

It is good to design proper planning to stop smoking. As a part of avoiding the bad habit, nicotine drug tests have to be conducted regularly on tobacco users. Urine, saliva, and hair drug test kits are used to detect nicotine drug abuse. Urine and hair drug test kits check for the presence of cotinine, a primary metabolite of nicotine whereas saliva test checks for the presence of nicotine in the saliva sample. Urine drug test kits can detect cotinine for two to four days after tobacco use. The saliva test detects recent nicotine abuse. However, it can also detect nicotine for 2 to 4 days. It is possible to detect nicotine abuse for 90 days with hair drug test kits. All of them are easy to use.

Nicotine drug test kits are available in the form of cups and strips. Qualitative analysis of the compounds in the sample provides the result. The testing materials present on the strip or cup react with the drug metabolite if present in the sample. This results in a color change that indicates that the sample contains drug metabolite. It is so easy to conduct nicotine tests using these drug testing kits. Many companies, schools, and other organizations are also using nicotine drug test kits to make sure that the individuals in their organizations are not smoking.
