Parents to Look at Their Kids for Signs of K2- Fake Marijuana: Toxicologists

K2, which is also known as spice is a mixture of herbal and spice plant products. It gives similar effects to marijuana and is believed to be natural and safe. And the reason behind its popularity is it is a legal drug unlike marijuana. However, the problem arises when it is contaminated by spraying potent psychotropic drugs, which are toxic in nature. These toxic chemicals are neither natural nor safe and cause many adverse effects.
As reported by toxicologists from Saint Louis University, they have seen more than 30 cases involving teenagers who were experiencing hallucinations, severe agitation, elevated heart rate and blood pressure, vomiting, and in some cases tremors and seizures. If any one of the symptoms were observed in the person it suggests that K2 is affecting the cardiovascular system of the person causing severe life threatening hallucinations.
Until 2006, K2 has been sold as a incense or a potpourri, which costs $30 to $40 per three gram bag. This cost is quiet equal to the price of marijuana. Its use is not limited to particular countries and in the near future it is going to be one of the majors problems. And that is the reason why some legislators like the one's in Missouri are currently considering a proposed ban of K2.
The teens tend to use K2 since they think it is legal and hence causes no harm. Therefore, the toxicologists are now warning the parents to check for any of the signs in their children to save them from further complications. And they are also asking the parents to look for any residues lying around the kids room since they are not using them to make their room smell better or to enhance the flavors of a pizza.
